The Richmond R-XVI Athletic Department is pleased to announce the addition of a certified athletic trainer. The R-XVI Board of Education voted to employ former Richmond Spartan wrestling standout, Savanna Nobile as the District's athletic trainer, foreign language facilitor and assistant wrestling and track coach at the high school.
"We are very excited to be able to include a certified athletic trainer within our athletic department. We have a very high need within our athletic programs for a trainer. This will be a huge benefit to our student-athletes and coaches."

Nobile is a 2012 graduate of Richmond High School whereshe was a four-sport varsity letterman in volleyball, cross country, wrestling and track. Nobile is the first female from Richmond to qualify for the men's state wrestling tournament, qualifying twice in 2010 and again in 2012. Nobile earned High School All-American Wrestler status twice at the National Freestyle Tournament in Fargo. Her senior year, she was the Hy-Vee Metro Scholar Athlete recipient, band Drum Major and Valedictorian of her class.
After a strong athletic career as a Spartan, Nobile continued her wrestling career at Lindenwood University where she earned All-American honors. Nobile also competed on the Olympic weight-lifting team for Lindenwood. Nobile graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training. She worked as a trainer for multiple athletic teams at Lindenwood.
