MSHSAA Changes Rules On Sports Physicals

The MSHSAA announced new rule changes for sports physicals for student-athletes.  Physicals will now be good for two years.

What that means for any Richmond Spartan 7-12 student-athlete is that you may not need to go to the doctor this year to get a new physical in order to get your Practice Card.  If you had a physical last year and received a Practice Card, you will NOT need to go to the doctor to get a new physical.  You WILL still have to complete the Practice Card Packet that includes all the other annual requirements necessary to participate in 7-12 athletics for the Richmond R-XVI School District.

Practice Card Packets (yellow packet) and the MSHSAA Physical Form (blue packet) can be picked up at the R-XVI Administration Center, the RHS office or at the RMS office.  Packets can also be found on the R-XVI School District website under athletics.

Students must receive a Practice Card each athletic season from the school office to be able to participate in any sport practice.

Free sports physicals are being offered in Richmond at the Meritas Health Clinic on Monday, July 29th from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm for any students who need to get a sports physical in order to obtain a new Practice Card.
